Lickeez is 100% focused on providing pet owners and trainers with an alternative tool to train and reward their pets without the negative health issues associated with over-treating the food motivated dog. We conducted extensive research into the pet obesity problem and discovered a disturbing trend of skyrocketing obesity rates among all types of dogs and cats, and especially senior pets, directly contributing to mobility problems, digestive issues, disease, and even cancer and pre-mature death. Pet stores offer an increasingly great choice of healthy pet treats, but too much of any treat is too much. Clearly the growing number of people embracing a kinder, gentler method of managing their pets’ behaviour through food reward need more support and tools to allow them to continue their good work without compromising their pets’ health. Our mission is to offer an appealing replacement for repetitive treating without the excessive calories leading to weight gain. And voilà! Lickeez is born.
We worked extensively with Canadian and USA natural flavour professionals and chemists to create the first natural training & reward spray, with fun and yummy flavours, irresistible smells and zero calories*. Our goal was to find the right natural recipes that pets would find enticing, with no mess and no fuss, no crumbs or long-lasting odours, completely safe, and could be used to reward as many times as wanted in whatever way wanted. Unlike punitive-based sprays or repellants, Lickeez aims to help pet and pet-parent feel happy about their time together! We tested each flavour with trainers, breeders, rescue groups, pet owners, ourselves and our own pets, and guess what?
